This policy explains what personal information Akon Studios collects through this website, why we collect it, how we store it and what rights you have over it. It applies to akonstudios.com and to enquiries sent to us by email or phone.

1. Who we are

Information you give us

Name, company name, email address and phone number submitted through the enquiry form
Project details you choose to share — type, budget band, shoot location, target date and your description of the brief
Any files, decks, scripts or references you send us by email
Correspondence between us, including call notes taken by our production team

Information collected automatically

Standard server log data: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages visited
Analytics data on how the site is used, in aggregate

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Invoicing and payment happen separately under a signed production agreement.

3. Why we use it

To read, assess and respond to your project enquiry
To prepare treatments, budgets and schedules for you
To perform a production contract once one is signed
To maintain our freelance crew roster, where you have applied to it
To improve the website and understand which of our work resonates
To meet legal, tax and statutory record-keeping obligations in India

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Confidentiality of your material

Scripts, decks, concepts and unreleased material you send us are treated as confidential by default, whether or not an NDA is in place. Access is limited to the producers and department heads who need it to quote or deliver your project. We are happy to sign your NDA before you send anything.

5. Who we share it with

We share the minimum necessary with: our email and hosting providers; accountants and legal advisers where required; and crew or vendors engaged on your project, who receive only what they need to do their job. All are bound by confidentiality obligations.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted
Project records and contracts: as long as required by Indian tax and statutory law, currently 8 years
Footage and project masters: archived under the terms of the production agreement
Crew roster submissions: until you ask us to remove them

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Project material is stored on access-controlled systems, and archival drives are held physically at the studio. No system is perfect, but we take the confidentiality of unreleased creative material seriously because our business depends on it.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Write to info@akonstudios.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may escalate under applicable Indian data protection law.

9. Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies needed to serve pages, plus analytics cookies to understand traffic in aggregate. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.

10. Children

This website is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data through it. Where minors appear in our productions, consent and compliance are handled separately under the production agreement and applicable child artist regulations.

11. Changes

We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
