Before you write

Quick answers.

The twelve things people ask us most. If yours is not here, the form above is the fastest route to an answer.

How quickly will I hear back?
A producer reads every enquiry and replies within one working day, usually the same day. If your timeline is urgent, call rather than email — the number on this page reaches the production desk directly.
What should I include in the brief?
Whatever you have. A deck, a script, a reference reel, or three lines describing the problem. Useful extras: your deadline, roughly what budget band you are working in, and where it needs to be delivered — theatrical, broadcast, OTT or social.
Do I need a finished script before I contact you?
No. A paragraph, a mood board or a business problem is a perfectly good starting point. Development is a service in its own right — we can write the treatment with you rather than waiting for one to appear.
Will you sign an NDA before I send my material?
Gladly, and we will send ours if you do not have one. Scripts, decks and unreleased material are treated as confidential by default whether or not paperwork is in place, but if the project is sensitive, ask us to sign first and we will turn it around the same day.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. We are comfortable slotting in as the production partner behind an agency's creative, and equally comfortable being handed a brief directly by a brand. We will not go around an agency to its client.
Can you work to an existing storyboard or agency treatment?
Yes, and we will flag anything in it that will not survive contact with a real location or schedule before you commit budget to it. That conversation is free and it is usually the most valuable hour of the project.
Do you take on projects outside Mumbai?
Yes. Our kit travels with our own unit, so an out-of-state shoot does not mean hiring unfamiliar gear locally. Permits, fixers, logistics, travel and accommodation are planned and costed as part of the schedule.
What is the smallest project you take on?
A single-day, single-location film with a small unit is a normal job for us and gets a full producer, not a junior. What we will not do is take on work we cannot finish properly inside the calendar we have — in that case we say so and suggest who can.
Do you do post-production only?
Yes. The colour suite, sound room and edit bays are ours, so we can take on grade, sound and finishing for work shot elsewhere. Send the timeline, the media and the delivery spec and we will quote the suite time.
How do payments and schedules work?
Typically a mobilisation payment to lock crew and dates, a stage payment at picture lock, and the balance on delivery of masters. Exact terms sit in the production agreement, and the line budget you approve is the amount you are billed unless scope changes in writing first.
Can we visit the studio before committing?
Please do. Recces, casting sessions and review screenings all happen here, and we would rather you see the suite and meet the producer before you sign anything. Call ahead so the right people are in.
Are you hiring crew?
Always taking new names for the freelance roster — DOPs, ADs, gaffers, editors, colourists, sound. Send a reel and a rate card to the same address and mark it for the roster.
